The Centre de la Imatge i la Tecnologia Multimèdia (CITM) (Image Processing and Multimedia Technology Centre) is an educational centre that is part of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, and is specialised in training in the sphere of multimedia technologies, image processing and audiovisual production. It is located at the UPC’s campus in Terrassa, about 25 kilometres from Barcelona.
A leading education in the field of audiovisual communication
The CITM teaches two official degree programmes, a degree in Multimedia Studies and a degree in Photography and Digital Media, which is the only official university degree in Spain in the field of photography. Since the 2009-2010 academic year, both degree programmes have been adapted to the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).
In addition to these official degrees, the Image Processing and Multimedia Technology Center teaches various online postgraduate programmes in different specialised fields of photography, multimedia technologies and audiovisual communication.

In addition to its educational role, the CITM is also a pioneering centre for research, innovation and developing knowledge transfer projects in the fields of multimedia technologies and photography.
