The Catalan Foundation for Research and Innovation (FCRI), with the support of the Department of Research and Universities of the Government of Catalonia, is organizing the 30th edition of Science Week. During these days, numerous institutions, organizations, and research centers throughout the region will offer free activities aimed at all audiences, with the goal of bringing science and technology closer to citizens and fostering scientific vocations among young people.
This year, Science Week will focus on the theme of quantum technology, coinciding with the celebration of the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology (IYQ 2025), promoted by the United Nations. The goal is to highlight the importance of quantum science and its applications in everyday life and in scientific and technological progress.
One of the activities taking place in Terrassa, organized by the Service of Universities and Knowledge Transfer, is a closing lecture "The Secret of Their Eyes: The Robin’s Quantum Compass", by Jose D. Edelstein, theoretical physicist, writer, and science communicator. It will take place on Saturday, November 15, at the TR6 Auditorium of ESEIAAT-UPC (Colom Street, 11), from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
