The aim of the bachelor's degree in Multimedia is to obtain skills related to multimedia production design, technologies, tools and methodologies, in the fields of artistic creation, entertainment and communication in the industry of digital and interactive content.
You will specialize in creating 2D, 3D, video and post production digital content, usability and graphic interfaces. You will also implement web solutions, mobile applications and interactive virtual environments. You will put this content into practice both as an individual and as a member of multidisciplinary teams, discovering the various options in the business sector of the multimedia world.
The bachelor's degree in Multimedia is an official university degree, complying with the requirements of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) being phased out.

*1 At the end of the course, the student will have learned and will be able to demonstrate their knowledge with the practical part of each subject, and in addition, in order to enhance and enrich their curriculum vitae, they will undertake a project within a group each semester.
*2 From the 3rd year of the bachelor's degree in Multimedia, the 30 optional ECTS can be obtained by studying optional subjects in the syllabus and/or doing work placements (minimum 12 ECTS).
Clarification notice:
The CITM recommends students to follow the normal itinerary of 60 credits per academic year. The curriculum for this degree programme includes the possibility of external practice work (companies, public organizations…) that is considered as an optional subject area for students. As well, it is possible to take these courses in other foreign universities.

Projects and Professional Experience: Tecnóloga creativa, diseñadora de experiencias e investigadora en comunicación científica. Conceptualizando y desarrollando experiencias interactivas para acercar la complejidad científica a la sociedad. Docente en ELISAVA, FH Joanneum, UTEC, The New School. Estancias de investigación en el equipo de exposiciones de Science Gateway - CERN y en el equipo Tech de Domèstic Data Streamers. Durante su estancia en Nueva York, fue docente en Parsons. Visualización de la información -del programa Strategic Design & Management BBA- y Metodologías de diseño -del Design & Technology MFA. Colaboró con el Museo Nacional de Historia Natural (Washington DC, EE. UU.) y fue investigadora en Brooklyn Research, trabajando en el proyecto Blips and Blobs, que ofrece la posibilidad de visualizar diferentes patrones de crecimiento de Physarum polycephalum, decodificando señales capturadas desde satélites meteorológicos NOAA. En 2017 colabora con John Sharp y Colleen Macklin en su libro Iterate: Ten Lessons in Design and Failure (2019) conceptualizando los diagramas del libro junto a Tuba Ozkan. Anteriormente, fue directora de diseño digital en revistas RBA, además de directora de arte y diseñadora motion graphics por múltiples clientes (MTV, TV3, Acción, Ayuntamiento de Barcelona,...) . Sus proyectos se han presentado desde 2013 en Espaya, Finlandia, Suiza, EEUU, Bélgica, Alemania, Francia, Malta, y Austria, recibiendo múltiples premios y nominaciones durante su trayectoria (Laus, NYCML, Gaudí,...). ![]() Projects and Professional Experience: Marta Fernández Ruiz es profesora y coordinadora del Grado en Diseño y Desarrollo de Videojuegos del Centro de la Imagen y la Tecnología Multimedia de la Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña, y responsable del área de Game Studies del Grupo de Investigación DiCode: Digital Culture and Creative Tecnologías. Sus líneas de investigación se centran en los videojuegos y ecología de los medios; el impacto de los videojuegos en ámbitos más allá del entretenimiento; y las estéticas de juego vinculadas a las tecnologías emergentes. Ha participado en proyectos relacionados con los videojuegos indie (siendo codirectora de contenidos de la primera edición del congreso Indie Games TRS) y con el aprendizaje mediado por el juego, los entornos virtuales y el storytelling (asumiendo el coliderazgo de iniciativas como Ciudad y Juego).
