The bachelor's degrees in Video Game Design and Development is a response to the global market of which the international video game and interactive applications industry is a part.
The objective of the bachelor's degrees in Video Game Design and Development is to train professionals able to conceptualise, design and program video games and content for digital entertainment and appropriate for dissemination on various platforms and mobile devices.

The aim of the bachelor's degree in Video Game Design and Development is to obtain the multidisciplinary skills required in the creation of video games and interactive materials, with a robust scientific foundation in the technology involved, programming with multiple platforms, artistic and graphic design, and 2D and 3D modelling and animation.
By the end of the degree course, you will have conceptualised and undertaken video game projects individually and as part of a group, as well as obtaining a broad-based knowledge of the industry and the keys to entrepreneurship, the financing and monetisation systems within the sector, with the active participation of the various companies involved.
The bachelor's degree in Video Game Design and Development is an official university degree, complying with the requirements of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).
Price: 106 €/ECTS (€6,360 per academic year of 60 credits)*.

Access to any bachelor's degree is possible from undergraduate training cycles, although the access grade (mean grade for the studies) or the weighted admission grade will be taken into account for admission to the studies depending on how the subjects in the specific University entrance tests are related to the knowledge area of the degree course for which access is sought. The UPC provides official recognition for subjects and credits is some of the bachelor's degree courses for those who have completed specific undergraduate training cycles. *1 By the end of the course, students will have learnt and will be able to prove their knowledge with the practical exercises for each of the course subjects; furthermore students will participate in a group project every year to strengthen and materialise their curriculum. The first year, students will develop casual games, the 2nd year a 2D Game, the 3rd Year a 3D Game and the fourth and final year students will prepare their Bachelor Thesis (TFG) individually.
*2 In the 4th year of the bachelor's degree in Video Game Development and Design, the 24 optional ECTS can be obtained by studying optional subjects in the syllabus or in two blocks: 12 ECTS of external internships and 12 ECTS of optional subjects.
Clarification notice:
The CITM recommends students to follow the normal itinerary of 60 credits per academic year. The curriculum for this degree programme includes the possibility of external practice work (companies, public organizations…) that is considered as an optional subject area for students. As well, it is possible to take these courses in other foreign universities.

![]() Projects and Professional Experience: Experta en aplicaciones de realidad virtual, interacción humano-ordenador, psicología y neurociencia. Doctorada en el Institut d'Investigacions Biomèdiques August Pi i Sunyer (IDIBAPS) i Event Lab (UB), investiga el uso de la realidad virtual para disminuir actitudes racistas, mejorar la empatía en maltratadores y también para mejorar el tratamiento de fobias. Durante sus estudios de doctorado, realiza una estancia pre-doctoral en la Universidad de Maastricht (Holanda) con el fin de utilizar técnicas de neuroimagen para comprender mejor el impacto de la realidad virtual en el cerebro. Posteriormente, lleva a cabo una estancia postdoctoral de casi 3 años en la Universidad de Bayreuth (Baviera, Alemania), donde se centra en aplicar conocimientos de las ciencias cognitivas para mejorar el diseño de interfaces como la realidad virtual o también para el desarrollo de nuevas interfaces basadas en levitación por ultrasonidos para crear contenidos digitales que se pueden ver, escuchar y tocar. Ha trabajado en diversos proyectos de investigación financiados por la Unión Europea como Levitate y VERE. Ha publicado varios artículos científicos en revistas internacionales de alto impacto, centrados en la realidad virtual y en el campo de la interacción humano-ordenador. Áreas de expertise: Desarrollo de aplicaciones interactivas, realidad virtual, interacción humano-ordenador y diseño de aplicaciones que utilizan la tecnología para mejorar la calidad de vida de las personas (salud y educación).
